Radiator apparatus of internal-combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the arrangement of a subtank for a radiator with degree of freedom by installing ON/OFF valves in the first and the second passages which communicate to the radiator and the subtank. CONSTITUTION:The upper tank 12 of a radiator 10 is connected to the upper and the lower parts of a subtank 26 through the first passage 28 equipped with the first one-way valve 30 and the second passage 34 equipped with the second one-way valve 36. When the internal pressure of the radiator 10 increases, and the differential pressure toward the pressure in the subtank 26 side exceeds a prescribed value, the one-way valve 30 is opened, and a portion of the cooling water and steam in the upper tank 12 are supplied into the subtank 26. While, the pressure in the radiator 10 lowers, and the differential pressure toward the pressure in the subtank 26 side exceeds the prescribed value, the one-way valve 36 is opened, and the cooling water in the subtank 26 is returned into the upper tank 12 of the radiator 10.
