Vertical profile adjusting circuit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain the emphasis of profile for both luminance and chrominance components at the same time, by varying the component near an odd number multiple to a component near a frequency being an even number multiple of the frequency of 1/4 of a horizontal scanning frequency and to zero. CONSTITUTION:A video signal applied to an input terminal 1 is given to a delay circuit 2HDL1 and an addition circuit ADD1. The video signal delayed for 2H period at the delay circuit 2HDL1 is given to a delay circuit 2HDL2, a weighting circuit W1 and an addition circuit ADD2. The video signal delayed for 2H at the delay circuit 2HDL2 is applied to the addition circuit ADD1 together with the output of the weighting circuit W1. The output of the addition circuit ADD1 is applied to the addition circuit ADD2 via a weighting circuit W3, summed with the video signal from the delay circuit 2HDL1 and the video signal adjusted for the vertical profile of a picture is outputted.
