Constant current circuit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To constitute a stable circuit easily by connecting the gates of plural JFETs in common, connecting the source and gate of the highest-order JFET together, and connecting the drains of other JFETs to their sources successively in series. CONSTITUTION:The gates of >2 JFETs J1-Jn are connected in common and the source and gate of the highest-order JFETJ1 are connected together. Further, the drains of the respective JFETs are connected to the sources successively in series, and the drian of the lowest-order JFETJn is connected as an output terminal to a load. When the JFETs have the same saturated current IDSS, a load current ID is IDSS/n and a constant current source for an optional current is constituted easily by using only the JFETs.
