Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the number of processes and decreases a manufacturing cost, by a method wherein, a pair of innertia mass segments and a mounting piece located between said two segments are coupled together in one body through vulcanizing and adherent process on a rubber product, with which the gap therebetween is filled in the case of a viscous rubber damper. CONSTITUTION:The damper stated in the title has a pair of inertia mass segments 1A and 1B located on both sides of a mounting plate 4 in a manner that the plate is positioned being held between the segments. Notches 20A and 20B are provided in edge parts positioned on the peripheries of the segments 1A and 1B, and facing each other so that a C type ring 21 can engage with the notches. The two segments 1A and 1B are coupled together by a coupling cylinder 22 fitted around the outer periphery thereof. In this constitution, with partition members 28 and retainers 29 located along inner peripheries of the segments 1A and 1B and between both surfaces facing each other, respectively, an assembly of the segments 1A and 1B and a mounting body A is placed between molds 26 and 27. Annular continuous recesses 30 formed along the inner periphery side of the segments 1A and 1B are filled with rubber fabrics 5a and 5b, respectively, and the absove-mentioned components of the assembly are simultaneously integrated in one body through vulcanizing and adherent process on said rubber fabrics.
