Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To use a temperature detection signal as a control signal without influenced by an electric noise, etc., by varying the quantity of light coupled between a light emitting element and a photodetecting element through a temperature detecting element interposed between both elements, and controlling temperature automatically. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from the light emitting diode 9 passes through an optical fiber 7 to reach the temperature detecting element 6 and then passes through an optical fiber 8 to return to a photothyristor 10. The current flowing through this photothyristor 10 is determined by its light intensity, so when the temperature of the temperature detection part where the element 6 is provided rises, its transmitted light intensity decreases to increase the resistance of the photothyristor 10 and the current flowing therein decreases, so that its temperature drops. Consequently, when the temperature of the temperature detection part drops, the transmitted light temperature of the element 6 increases, so the current of the photothyristor 10 increases. Thus, the current of the photothyristor 10 varies in proportion to the transmitted light intensity of the element 6, so precise control is facilitated.
