Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to provide a special space for installing a flow meter, by disposing the flow meter in an air cleaner. CONSTITUTION:An air cleaner 12 is disposed at the end portion of an intake passage and incorporates therein a flow meter 13 for detecting the flow rate of intake air. The flow meter 13 is a hot-wire anemometer type hot-wire flow meter. A filter element 20 is disposed in the air cleaner on the side of a suction chamber 12a, and intake air after passing through the filter element 20 is carried into an air supply chamber 12b while measuring the flow rate of intake air by the flow meter 13. On the side of the air supply chamber 12b in the air cleaner 12, a baffle plate 21 for preventing blow-back of intake air form the engine side is provided.
