Antenna for portable radio equipment
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized portable radio equiment by forming a voice conduction tube and an antenna in one body. CONSTITUTION:The voice conduction tube 1 is made of an insulating material while united to the antenna conductor of a tubular monopole antenna 2 or helical antenna 7, and stored in a voice conduction tube storage part 8 when not used. The length of the antenna depends upon an in-use frequency and the overall length of a quarter-wavelength monopole antenna is about 7.5cm when it is used at, for example, 1 GHz. In this example, the tubular monopole antenna 2 or helical antenna 7 is drawn out or stored and fed by an antenna feeding part 4 which has a mechanical structure for semifixing the antenna at an adequate position.
