Microcapsule toner for heat roller fixing
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To lower fixing temp. and to improve offset resistance, by forming the first wall made of a hydrophilic film-forming polymer, and the second wall made of an oleophilic film-forming polymer in succession on the outside of a core material. CONSTITUTION:A styrene-acrylic resin low in mol.wt. contg. 20-70wt% gelatinous copolymer is used for a core material. On the outside of the core material, an interlayer made of a hydrophilic film-forming polymer, such as gelatin, albumin, casein, or gum arabic, and the outermost wall made of an oleophilic film-forming polymer, such as polycarbonate, polyamide, polyether, polyolefin, or polystyrene, are successively formed to obtain a microencapsulated toner.
