Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To suppress output variation by sandwiching a flexible medium between the 1st slider provided with a main magnetic pole and the 2nd slider provided with an auxiliary magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole 16 made of a thin magnetic film is fitted to a slider 17, and an auxiliary magnetic pole 18 made of ferrite is fitted to a slider 19, which is supported by a gimbals through a plate 20 made of stainless steel. The auxiliary magnetic pole 18, therefore, slants from the perpendicular direction of a medium 4 to an optional direction. Further, the slider 19 is pressed, as shown by an arrow 22, by a spring through the gimbals supporting plate 20 by a pivot pressing mechanism 21. Consequently, the slider 19 while pressing the medium 4 balances itself following a main magnetic pole side slider 17 by reaction force generated by the rigidity of the medium. The abutting surface of the main magnetic pole side slider for the medium 4 is curved in a convex shape in the running direction of the medium, and the surface of the auxiliary magnetic pole side slider 19 is curved in a concave shape; and magnetic ples 16 and 18 are arranged in the middle between both the curved surfaces.
