Polyolefin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a polyolefin compsn. producing film with improved rigidity and scratch resistance and reduced fish eyes, by mixing a phosphorus compd.- containing polyethylene with a specified crystalline prophylene/alpha-olefin copolymer in a specified blend ratio. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. consists of 96-80wt% crystalline polypropylene/ alpha-olefin copolymer with a propylene content of at least 50wt% (the polypropylene has a crystal melting point of 150 deg.C or lower and a melt flow rate (MFR) of 3 or higher), and 4-20wt% high-density polyethylene having a density of at least 0.945, a melt index (MI) of 3-50 and a flow ratio of 15 or lower and containing 0.01-0.30wt% phosphite ester which has at least phenyl three phenyl groups in the molecule. The ratio of MI of the polyethylene to MFR of the polypropylene is 1.0-8.0.
