Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent infiltration of liquid into the defective part of the container and to test the airtightness at the same time, by inserting a bag shaped member formed by a soft material, which approximately conforms to the internal shape of the container and withstands the test pressure, in the pressure container having openings. CONSTITUTION:The bag shaped member 9 is inserted in the pressure container 1 having the opening 1a. The bag shaped member 9 is made of the soft material so that moisture does not enter the member. Said soft material approximately conforms to the shape of the inner surface of the container 1, has a sufficient size for the internal volume, withstands the test pressure, and uniformly transmits the test pressure to the inner wall of the container 1. A protruded part 11 having an opening 10a in the bag shaped member 9 is protruded from a cover 3 provided on the container 1 in the airtight manner. A protruded part 11 having an opening 10b is protruded from a cover 5 in the airtight manner. Water is injected through either the opening 10a or the opening 10b. Inactive gas 12 is sealed between the inner surface of the container 1 and the outer surface of the bag shaped member 9 through a valve 13. The water pressure and the gas pressure are pressurized to the test pressure. Even though there is the defective part in the pressure container 1, the liquid does not enter into the defective part.
