Seal cleaning device of toner cartridge in electrophotographic copier

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from scattering to the outside of a device when drawing out a seal from the device, by providing a cleaing blade contacting with a seal of a toner catridge, on this side edge part of the inserting direction of a toner cartridge inserting part. CONSTITUTION:This device prevents a toner from being scattered about to the outside of a developing device, when a toner cartridge 1 is inserted into an inserting part 4 of the device, a seal 3 is drawn out of the device, and the toner is supplied to the developing device through an opening part 2a, and a cleaing blade 5 contacting with the seal 3 is provided on the edge part which is one part of the inserting part 4 and this side of the inserting direction. Accordingly, when the seal 3 is drawn out by pinching a draw-out part 3a in a state that the toner cartridge 1 has been inserted, the toner adhering onto one surface of the seal 3 is scraped to the inside of the developing device by the cleaning blade 5 and is not scattered to the outside.
