Temperature controller
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make the internal temperature distribution of a fuel cell homogneous and constant by controlling the temperature of gas supplied into the fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:A line 2 supplies compressed air used as an oxidant into a fuel cell 1. A line 3 supples hydrogenated gas used as a fuel into the cell 1. The air suplied from the line 2, after passing through a temperature controller 4 which controls the temperature of the air by heating or cooling, is supplied into the fuel cell 1. Here, the temperature of the air supply is detected with a temperature detector 5. The fuel gas supplied from the line 3, after passing through a temperature controller 6 which controls the temperature of the fuel gas by heating or cooling, is supplied into the fuel cell 1. Here, the temperature of the fuel gas supply is detected with a temperature detector 7. In addition, the operational temperature of the fuel cell 1 is detected by a tempeature detector 8, and an operational-temperature signal 9 is used as the input to a signal generator 10 which generates the set point of supplied gas temperature. After that, the signal generator 10 having received the input of the operational temperature signal 9, generates a set-point signal 11 of supplied gas temperature.
