Fluorescent lamp

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prolong discharge path length, increase the amount of emission, and make the whole shape of a fluorescent lamp compact by configuring a curved tube. CONSTITUTION:Glass valves 1 and 2 are almost made parallel to each other and are separately arranged and straight tube type glass valves 10 and 11 are almost made parallel to these glass valves 1 and 2 and are separately arranged. The glass valves 10 and 11 are coated with a phosphor coat 12 internally and both ends 13, 14 and 15, 16 are closed airtightly. The said glass valves 1, 2, and 10, and 11 are arranged in parallel so as to mutually be located on a square diagonal. Bedises, mounts 7 and 7 with filament coils 6 and 6 are sealed on the one side ends 4 and 5 of the glass valves 1 and 2. Since the glass valves 1, 2, 10, and 11 are communicated with each other by means of the first slender tube 17 and the second slender tubes 20 and 21, they need not be curved during lamp manufacturing process and the thickness of a phosphor coat 3 may not be reduced.
