Fruit peduncle cutter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: A device for nipping the fruit penduncle and pulling it is set under the conveyor belt and a cutter is fixed behind the device along the conveyor to enable the cutter to cut fruit penduncles short and simultaneously prevent the edge from being damaged by cutting the stopper. CONSTITUTION: A fruit 27 is set to the conveyor belt 13 so that the fruit peduncle 23 comes through the hole 21 and conveyed. Meanwhile, the conveying holders 57 move endlessly in front of the belt 13, come off from each other, when the parts 65 come into contact with the cum plates 61, and the surfaces 71 nip the fruit, when the part 65 leave the cum plates 61. When the fruit nipped comes to the rotating plate 33 set in the front of belt 13, the peduncle 23 is pulled together with the stopper 29 downward by the rotating plate 33 and cut at the position above the stopper 29 by the rotating edge 19. When the fruit is transferred on the conveyor belt, the parts 65 of the conveying holder 57 leave the fruit and the fruit is taken out. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
