Scan driving device of printer head

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a scan driving device simple in assembling and low in cost in a printer of non-impact system by a method wherein a device for scanning the head right and left and a device for touching and detaching the head to recording paper comprise the same device. CONSTITUTION: A driving pin 2 fixed vertically on one of teeth of a timing belt 1 is engaged with a long groove 5 provided on a carriage 4, moves to the right with revolution of the belt 1, pushes the long groove 5 and moves the carriage 4 to the right. When the driving pin 2 revolves and moves around a center O 2 , the pin 2 moves downward in the long groove 5 and pushes the arm 21b of a reset lever 21. Then, the arm 21a pushes downward the projection 19 of a carrier 9 provided with the head 10. Accordingly, the carrier 9 moves downward against the spring force of a spring 13 and the head 10 is released from the recording paper 16. Under this state the carriage returns, the pin 2 revolves around a center O 1 and the reset lever 21 is reset. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
