Heat conducting pipe

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To increase a heat conducting area in a pipe and generate irregular flow in the pipe by a method wherein a number of grooves with the maximum width other than that of an opening edge are arranged at the inner surface of a grooved heat conducting metal pipe to be used for a heat pipe. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of straight groove 8 are arranged in parallel with a pipe axis at an inner surface of a metal pipe 7 composed of aluminum material etc. and at the same time projections 10 to be faced to each other are arranged at the open edges 9 of the grooves 8, and a width size W 1 between the opening edges 9 is made to be shorter than a width size W 3 of other portions. Therefor, a wall thickness size W 2 of an end surface 12 of the groove wall 11 is made longer than a wall thickness size W 4 of the groove wall 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
