Signal system for digital interface

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the freedom of device design, by providing a pause period in which no digital transmission is made in each sample, in a digital interface format of series system between digital-audio devices. CONSTITUTION:Interfacing of digital signals is made by using a PCM signal between various digital audio devices. In this case, each output signal has the same sampling frequency, in which information is present from the head of each sample to the N-th bit and no meaning is given from the N+1th bit to the beginning of the next sample. Further, the period from the N+1th bit to the beginning of the next samples is not always the same as the output signal of each device and each output signal has an uniform repetitive period in sample unit.
