Remote operating system for power supply

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of information during processing, even if the lowering in optical signal level and momentary interruption takes place, by discriminating a special cut-off signal at a logic section of a terminal device and cutting off the power supply, in remote operation of the closing and cut-off of the power supply of the terminal device of a computer system from the main body side. CONSTITUTION:Terminal devices (b1)...(bn) are provided with a logic section (g) providing the discriminating section discriminating the cut-off signal between an optical relay device (d) and the power supply unit (e). The application of the power supply is made by detecting the incoming of light to an optical relay device (d). The cut-off of the power supply is made in such a way that a specific cut-off signal is outputted from the main body (a) to an optical fiber cable (c), it is discriminated at the logic section (g) via an optical relay device (d) and inputted to a switch section of the unit (e).
