Display system of picture information storage and retrieval device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To display on one display device by optionally selecting character information which corresponds to the retrieval code of a retrieval title and pciture information which corresponds to the retrieval title during the retrieval of the titled devic CONSTITUTION: On a magnetic tape 9, picture information and retrieval codes, such as a track number and a start block number, which correspond to the information are recorded, and when the registered picture information is to be retrieved, the retrieval codes are inputted first on a keyboard 2. A CPU15 converts it into a character pattern by a pattern generator 13 and it is stored in a buffer 11. Then, the retrieval code on the magnetic tape is reproduced and collated to perform retrieval and when coincidence is found, the CPU15 converts the retrieval code into a character pattern, which is stored in the buffer 11 and displayed on a display device 7. When an operator speciffies the position information of the corresponding picture information with keys on the basis of the title display, the corresponding picture information is reproduced from the magnetic tape to display a picture on the display device 7.
