Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate layout and to lessen corrections by projecting a print pattern on a graphic display, by recording part of a previously read pattern, and by conforming positions of points to be read later to the previously read pattern. CONSTITUTION:Characters, photographs, etc., to be laid out are recorded in files 25, 35 and 45 together with code numbers. On the basis of layout information, layout lines are displayed on a graphic disply 71 and also recorded in a matching-line memory 77. Then, the data in the files are reproduced and displayed on the graphic display 71 and positions, size and angles are inputted to set a layout. Points read at the time are recorded in a previously-read-point register 76 and when the read indication point is close enough to information recorded in the memory 77 or register 76, the closest point to the recorded information is read and inputted.
