Talc-containing propylene polymer composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding a talc of specific particle size distribution along with an ethylene polymer of a specific density and a specific rubber component, thus having high-degree balance between the impact strength and the toughness and giving good-surface properties to moldings. CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprises (A) a crystalline propylene polymer, (B) an ethylene polymer of more than 0.930g/cm 3 density, (C) at least one of rubber-like components selected from styrene-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene block copolymer and ethylene-propylene rubber and (D) a talc of more than 30,000cm 2 /g specific surface area in which more than 95wt% of the talc is less than 10μ inparticle size, more than 85wt% is less than 5μ, 15W95wt% is less than 1μ wherein the amount of component A is 50W92wt% based on A+B+C, component B is 25W4wt% and component C is 25W4wt%,further component D is 5W50wt% based on A+B+C+D.
