Two axia driver

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make both controllings of tracking and focusing possible, simplify mechanisms and reduce the number of parts and the cost of assembling by coupling two sets of coils movable in vertical and horizontal directions in one piece to an objective lens in a magnetic path thereby forming an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A focus controlling coil 37, and tracking controlling coils 38, 39 are disposed around the central leading end part 36a of a magnetic circuit 36. The coil 37 is adhered to the coils 38, 39 and the coils 38, 39 are fixed to a support plate 42. An objective lens system is contained in a sleeve 40 movable in the hole 41 in the Z-axis direction at the center of the circuit 36, and the support plates 42, 43 are fixed to both ends of the sleeve 40. The plates 42, 43 are supported to the mounting members 48-51 fixed to the circuit 36 by means of elastic members 44a-47a. Thereby, both controllings of tracking and focusing are made possible with one actuator, the mechanisms are simplified and the number of parts is reduced.
