Sheet having heat and sound insulating property
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet which is useful as a wall covering material, a floor covering material, a partitioning material, a ceiling material, etc. and has both heat and sound insulating properties even when the sheet is thin, by in corporating powders of copper, iron, lead, mica or aluminum into a synthetic resin foam. CONSTITUTION:20-40pts.wt. at least one inorg. powder selected from iron powder, copper powder, lead powder, mica powder and aluminum powder, is mixed with 100pts.wt. synthetic resin foam such as PS or PE foam to obtain the titled sheet. Said sheet can be produced by any of the following methods. (A) A mixture is molded into a sheet by injection molding, extrusion, etc., said mixture being obtd. by mixing the synthetic resin, a blowing agent and the inog.e powder together. (B) A solvent is added to the above mixture (A), and the resulting mixture is cast into a sheet. (C) When a urethane resin is used, the blowing agent and the inog. powder are blended with the raw synthetic resin, and the resulting mixture is injected directly into a place to be applied, thus causing a reaction.
