Smothened polyester film

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the subject polyester film improved in movability and crack resistance by causing the film to contain a surface coarsening substance and a smoothening agent to set the surface projection and density of the film in specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:To a polyester (such as polyethylene phthalate) blended with a surface coarsening substance inorganic fine particles of hydrated aluminum silicate, silica and the like), is added 0.01-5wt% of sorbitan ester (preferably triester) as a smoothening agent, to form a smoothened polyester film satisfying a relationship shown by the formula, wherein H indicates the number of projections having a height of above 0.54mu formed on the surface having a height above 1mm.<2> of the film, and p indicates the film density in terms of g/cm<2>.
