Fiber tempered plastic gear and its manufacturing method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain sufficient strength and even characteristics, by providing strengthened fiber tempered plastic layer with continuous fiber arranged to circumferential direction along the gear tooth profile on the outer surface of gear tooth profile. CONSTITUTION: Disc 2 of gear and inside 4 of gear tooth profile are made of FRP, made up of lamination layer of thin plate which especially fiber bundle for reinforcement in fiber length of 3W50mm in width of 1W50mm impregnated by matric resin are arranged at random. Outer surface 3 of gear tooth profile is made up of strengthened fiber tempered plastic layer with continuous fiber arranged to circumferential direction along gear tooth 1 profile.
