Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of retained coils, and to efficiently manufacture various kinds of processed steel strips, by constituting the first processing line with a cooling apparatus equipped with a cooler and a descaling machine and a coiler, and by successively installing parallelly arranged dissimilar continuous processing lines following to the first processing line. CONSTITUTION: A strip is sent to a looping type cooler 13 and is therein cooled to a prescribed temperature, and is then descaled by a mechanical descaling machine 16 arranged before the first rolling stand 14 or between optional two rolling stands; the strip is then cold rolled by the rolling stands 15, 16'. The stirp is then coiled by a coiler 17 and the coil is sent by conveyers, etc., into a next annealing line comprising a continuous annealing furnace 20, a water-cooling tank 21, a looping device 22, a skin pass mill 23, etc. Or otherwise, the strip is sent into a continuous plating line comprising a pretreating furnace 36, a plating zone 37, a quench tank 38, etc., parallelly arranged to the annealing line. By thus constituted processing lines, a space for a coil yard, etc., becomes needless. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
