Plaster for application

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled plastic having improved aging stability of the drug component, and composed of a corticosteroid as a drug component, and a matrix for supporting the component, by using a mercapt-contaning compound as a stabilizer. CONSTITUTION: In a plaster composed of a corticosteroid, esp. having an OH group, etc. at the 17-position carbon of the steroid skeleton, and a polymer matrix supporting said drug component, the decomposition and degradation of the drug by oxidation is suppressed, without giving undesirable effects to the skin, by adding pref. 0.5W200wt% esp. 1W100wt%, based on the drug component, of a compound having a mercapto group, e.g. monothioethylene glycol, thioglycerol, butyl mercaptan, etc. as a stabilizer for the drug component.
