Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To increase blow-in efficiency of compressed air and miniaturize a compressed air tank, by blowing compressed air to both intake and exhaust lines at acceleration of an engine simultaneously limiting a blow of the compressed air in a state of intake quantity not less than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION: To increase air blow-in efficiency at acceleration of an engine, a compressed air blowing device is provided. This device is consitituted in such a manner that compressed air in a compressed air storage tank 20 is fed to blow nozzles 21, 22 through valves 24 1 , 24 2 and pipe line 23 1 , 23 2 , and there are opened the blow nozzle 21 to an intake passage 15 2 and the blow nozzle 22 to a turbine 14 of a supercharger 12 respectively. An intake quantity detecting sensor S 3 is provided in the intake passage 15 2 , and its output is input to a computer 19 with outputs of sensors S 1 , S 2 , S 4 WS 6 detecting other operating states. Then at the time of accelerating the engine, said valves 24 1 , 24 2 are opened, simultaneously said valves 24 1 , 24 2 are closed in a state of intake quantity not less than a prescribed value.
