Catalyst body for purification of waste combustion gas
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst for purification of waste combustion gases which is highly active and have strength at low temps., by depositing a platinum group element on a calcined body made by calcining clay of specific ratios of aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide. CONSTITUTION: Clay having a composition ratio of ≥50wt% aluminum oxide and ≥40wt% silicon dioxide is calcined to made a calcined body. A platinum group element such as platinum, palladium or the like is carried on this calcined body, whereby a catalyst for purification of waste combustion gases is obtained. This catlayst makes the harmful materials in the waste combustion gases unharmful. It is highly active at low temps., and has high mechanical strength and abrasion resistance.
