Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To realize a high-speed retrieval for the position of reproduction, by recording both a digital modulated signal like the character train data and a recognition signal showing the recording position on the same track of a magnetic track as the acoustic signal. CONSTITUTION:A character train like the name of music, etc. is recorded in the form of a digital signal on the same track of a magnetic tape on which the analog signals (b, d, f, h) of the music A, B, C, D, etc. At the same time, the retrieving recognition signals (i, j, k, l) are recorded. Then the character train signals of the music name designated by an operation of keys are compared with the character train signals (i, j, k, l) to retrieve the name of music. Then the name of music is displayed on a display device. For instance, the character train at the position (j) of the magnetic tape is supplied and displayed, and the music (d) is played. Under such condition, if the 4th music is retrieved, a calculation of (4-2=2) is carried out since the 2nd music is now performed. Then the low frequency retrieving signals of gaps C and D between pieces of music are detected to retrieve the music D in the fast reproduction mode.
