Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a captioned alloy having improved strength made from Mn, Zn, Al, Ni, residual Cu and unavoidable impurities. CONSTITUTION: This white Cu alloy has a composition including 7W10wt% Mn, 15W30wt% Zn, 0.1W3wt% Al and 0.2W8.5wt% Ni, and further if necessary, containing one or both of 0.2W2wt% Pb and 0.2W3wt% of Co and/or Fe, and residual Cu and unavoidable impurities. The white Cu alloy contains α phase at room temp., while it has much β phase generated therein at high temp., therefore better elongation processing may be carried out at room temp. and high temp.
