Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To effect the switched feeding of the paper groups having different sizes from each other smoothly without causing a duplicated feeding or a jamming by a method wherein two sets of paper position detecting sensors and two sets of paper feeding rollers capable of switched operation between driving and releasing individually by the detecting signals of the sensors are equipped. CONSTITUTION: The kind of the paper is discriminated by ON-OFF of a microswitch effected by a loaded cassette 1 and when the paper of a small size, for example, is detected, fore and aft paper feeding rollers 6, 7, a sending roller 10 and a pinch roller 9 are driven by a paper feeding beginning signal and the paper at the uppermost position is sent out. When the tip end of the paper is detected by the second sensor 15, the driving of the aft paper feeding roller 7 is released and subsequently when the tip end of the paper is detected by the first sensor 12, driving of both of the rollers 6, 10 are released and the paper is sent to a next process by a nip roller 9. On the other hand, when it is detected that the paper has a larger size, the drivings of the rollers 6, 7, 10 are released simultaneously when the tip end of the paper is detected by the sensor 12.
