High polymer composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: A high polymer composition having improved heat resistance, breaking strength, modulus of elasticity, flexural strength, etc., becoming thermoplastic at high temperature, obtained by adding a specific N-substituted totally aromatic polyamide to a para-orientating totally aromatic polyamide or flexible high polymer. CONSTITUTION: In high polymers of three groups of (A) a para-orientating entirely aromatic polyamide consisting of a repreating unit shown by the formula I and/or the formula II (Ar 1 WAr 3 are bifunctional para-orienting aromatic group), (B) an N- substituted entirely aromatic polyamide having a substitution ratio of ≥2mol% and an μ inh of ≥0.1, consisting of repeating units shown by the formula III and/or formula IV [X, Y, and Z are H, C k H 2k+1 (7≤k≤25), (CH 2 ) l -Ar 4 (1≤l≤6), or a group shown by the formula V, or (CH 2 ) n -COOM (1≤n≤10); Ar 4 is aromatic group; R 1 WR 4 are H, CH 3 , etc.; M is H or alkali metal], and (C) a high polymer consisting of a flexible high polymer. These high polymers are blended in the following three ways. (i) Two or more high polymers of the group B having different substituent group, (ii) a high polymer of the group A and a high polymer of the group B, and (iii) a high polymer of the group B and a high polymer of the group C.
