Mounting construction of instrument panel for automobile

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the working efficiency with an easier mounting of an instrument panel by making a hole on a bracket on the body side a slot for insertion of a mount bolt into the bracket provided on the side of the panel. CONSTITUTION: The upper side of a first bracket 7 is arranged in contact with the side of an upper support plate 3 on the end back of an instrument panel 1 and an upper flange 11 with the end of an upper rib 2 while the side of a lower side of a bracket 7 with the side of a lower support plate 5 and a lower flange 13 with the end of a lower rib 4. A vertical base section 8 is bolted down on the upper and lower support plates 3 and 5 and the bracket 7 is screwed down on the instrument panel 1. Then, a surface 15 to be supported is placed on a supporting surface 23 of a body side bracket 20 and nutted with a bolt 16 inserted into a long groove 24.
