Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To permit the free selection of the delivery amount of paper within a set range by controlling the time of electrification to a solenoid separating a pinch roller from a capstan roller in the paper delivery mechanism of a printer. CONSTITUTION: When a printing wheel 1 begins to turn by a printing command signal A and comes to a printing position, a printing hammer 2 is driven by solenoid driving signals E and F for printing. But, when printing operation is finished, a capstan roller 5 is driven for a certain period of time t 0 through gear groups by a motor driving the printing ring 1. The time t 0 is set at a maximum delivery amount of paper. When setting the knob of on-delay timer like t 1 ' and t 2 ', t 1 and t 2 after the beginning of driving the capstan roller 5, the solenoid 10 is electrically energized, a lever 8 is turned clockwise around the shaft 7, and thereby the pinch roller 6 is separated from the roller 5.
