Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To achieve time display with each language, by inputting the voice of time freely an selectively in more than one language. CONSTITUTION:With a time adjustment switch KO, the present time is displayed visually on a display device 2 through a quartz oscillator XTAL, a CPU, etc. A voice signal inputted from a microphone 4, on the other hand, is converted into a digital signal, whose language and contents are discriminated by a voice recognition device VA. Then, a signal indicating one of languages which correspond to keys K1-K5 is applied to a CPU through one of OR gates G1-G5. Then, one ROM corresponding to the language among ROMs 1-5 is accessed to apply selected prescribed language data to a voice synthesizer VS, thereby voice of time information from the CPU is generated from a speaker 3 in the prescribed language. Therefore, the voice display of a time is achieved in each language such as Japanese, English, and Germany.
