Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the load of compressor for compartment ventilation to realize low fuel consumption by a method wherein, when the temperature of the compartment of the vehicle exceeds the predetermined temperature, the maximum amount of fresh air is induced and simultaneously a sun roof is opened to escape the hot air within the compartment and, after that, the sun roof is closed and then the compressor is driven. CONSTITUTION:If the temperature of the air A, at the upper part of the compartment of the vehicle reaches to the predetermined temperature at the time when a cooler switch 14 is turned ON, a control circuit 12 is actuated by the signal from a sensor 13 to operate a timing circuit 15 to open the sun roof for the predetermined period of time. And while the sun roof is kept open, a blower 8 and a door 7 for changing-over the compartment air from or to the fresh air is controlled to induce the maximum amount of fresh air. In such a manner as mentioned above, the air A1 stagnated at the upper part of the compartment of the vehicle is rapidly exhausted through the sun roof and then the compressor 16 is driven by the operation of the timing circuit 15 to send the cooling air into the compartment of the vehicle.
