Controlling system for change of ink ribbon

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To increase the printing efficiency without producing color misregister, by providing to a printing section a printing prohibiting period corresponding to the change mode of a multicolor ribbon when the color of the ribbon is changed. CONSTITUTION: When printing is being performed by the ribbon (a) (black), red printing will be carried out with the ribbon (b) (red) pushed up by a magnet MG2, and blue printing will be carried out with the ribbon (c) (blue) pushed up by a magnet MG1. When it is required to change the black ribbon (a) directly to the blue ribbon (c), the displacement amount of the cassette 1 is larger than in the case where black is changed to red. Respective optimum printing prohibiting periods can be given in accordance with the color of the ribbon to be changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
