Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To protect a discoid recording medium by providing a shielding member which covers a head insertion opening part in a disuse state. CONSTITUTION:A lower plate 2a and an upper plate 2b having steps 14a and 14b for cartridge insertion respectively have recessed parts 12a for one turn of a magnetic sheet. In a hub hole 3, a shielding member 10 is fitted rotatably corresponding to a long-sized opening hole part 4 for a magnetic head. A shielding member 9 is provided with a flexible member 10 and when this cartridge is loaded in a driving device, a protection part 10a is slid to open the head opening part and a detection hole 5.
