Operating switch for vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To keep an operating switch standstill even if a steering wheel is turned, by attaching a rotary shaft to the spoke of the steering wheel and providing a secured gear, a standstill gear and the operating switch so that the secured gear and the standstill gear are engaged with gears on the rotary shaft and the operating switch is located on the standstill gear. CONSTITUTION:The spoke 6 of a steering wheel is fitted with a rotary shaft 9 having gears 10, 11 on both the ends of the shaft. A secured gear 8 is provided on the non-rotating part of a steering column and engaged with the gear 10. A standstil gear 12 is rotatably provided on the shaft 5 of the steering wheel and engaged with the gear 11. Since both the gear ratios are equal to each other, the standstil gear 12 does not rotate even if the steering wheel is turned. An operating switch is mounted on the standstill gear 12. According to this constitution, the position of the operating switch is unchanged regardless of the turning of the steering wheel.
