Stabilized polyolefin resin composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding a specific phenolic compound and a specific sulfur compound, thus showing remarkably improved stability to heat and oxidation and preventing bleeding, whitening and odor development. CONSTITUTION: (A) Bis-[3,3-bis( 4'-hydroxy-3'-t-butylphenyl )butyric acid]glycol ester and (B) a sulfur compound of formulaI(R 1 is 3W18C alkyl; R 2 and R 3 are H, or 1W6C alkyl) are added to a polyolefin resin at an A:B ratio of 1:(1W10) by weight. In component B, R 1 is 12W18C alkyl and R 2 and R 3 are 1W3C alkyl preferably. The total amount of both components added is preferably 0.01W 0.5pts.wt. per 100pts. of the resin. The compound of formulaIis obtained by acetalization of an aldehyde of formula II with pentaerythritol. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
