Vibration-proof structure of foundry case

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To produce a frictional damping effect, and to decrease an emitted sound by partially welding damping members, which are formed in approximately the same shapes as the whole or one part of an inner surface or an outer surface of the case, on the inner surface or the outer surface of the case. CONSTITUTION:The damping members 21, 22 consisting of a sheet steel formed in approximately the same shapes as an inner surface of the transmission case 1 are welded partially on the inner surface, and welded sections 211a, 221a and nonwelded sections 211b, 221b are mounted in distributing shapes. The emitted sound is decreased remarkably by the frictional damping effect produced among the inner surface of the case 1 and the nonwelded sections of the damping members 21, 22.
