Air cleaner

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To supply air through a filter element without fail even if the sealing of the fixing part of an electric equipment is loosened inside the casing of an air cleaner by fixing electric equipments for a car properly in the upper stream side of the filter element. CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner 10 mounted on an autocycle is provided with a casing 11 partitioned by a flange part 12 extended inward into two chambers 13 and 14, and a filter element 16 is arranged and fast fixed in the chamber 14. For the exchange of this filter element 16, the upper part of the outer wall of the chamber 14 in the casing 11 is constructed into a detachable lid 17. When an engine is operated, the open air is sucked from a suction passage 18, cleaned by the element 16, and then supplied into the engine via a feed hose 22. At this stage, an electric equipment 23 is fixed inside the above-said lid 17. This electric equipment 23 is fitted to an opened part 25 on the lid 17 from outside by a fixing plate 24, and fast fixed by fixing screws 27 with sealing materials 26 between.
