Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To operate an oil pump for lubricating a bearing as the braking functioning of the flywheel, and to shorten time until the flywheel is stopped after a power source for the flywheel device is removed by axially connecting the oil pump to the flywheel when the power source is removed. CONSTITUTION:When the sucking force of an electromagnet 17 expires due to service interruption, the oil pump 12 is pushed up by the upward push-up force of a spring 16, and couplings 13, 14 are magnetically connected firmly. Accordingly, the revolving torque of the flywheel 2 is transmitted to a pump shaft 12a just after the power source is removed, and the oil pump 12 is driven by the accumulated energy of the flywheel 2 until the revolution of the flywheel 2 is stopped. Thus, oil is positively lubricated to an oil bearing 9 and a roller bearing 8 even after the power source is removed, these seizure is prevented, and the oil pump displays braking functioning to the flywheel 2 because the oil pump 12 absorbs the accumulated energy of the flywheel 2.
