Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To facilitate the mounting of a spectacle lens to the spectacle frame with no high-accuracy control required to the lens circumference length when the lens processing is carried out, by fitting a wire having an ultra-elastic effect to the rim and holding a spectacle lens having a groove at its fringe to the rim. CONSTITUTION: For a lens 3, the upper half groove 5 is fitted to a projected part 4 of a rim 1, and the lower half groove 5 is fitted to a wire 2 connected at the areas B and C to be held there. A groove 6 plus wire fitting holes 7 and 8 are provided on the inner surface of the rim 1, at the same time a swelled part 9 is formed at the tip of the wire 2. Then the wire 2 is fitted to the rim 1 by fixing the part 9 to either one of the holes 7 and 8 through the inner surface of the rim 1 and in accordance with the circumference length of the lens 3.
