Speed detecting method
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce a time lag for detection, and also to elevate image resolution and accuracy, by detecting a speed by the number of output pulses counted between the time point when a pulse has been generated, and the last time point when the pulse has been generated by a pulse generator within a constant interval of time. CONSTITUTION:When a microcomputer 2 has generated a pulse PT for starting a speed detection, an output F1 of an FF circuit 9 becomes ''1''. On the other hand, when an output pulse PLG of a pulse generator is varied, an output F2 of an FF circuit 10 becomes ''1''. As a result, a counter 17 counts the pulse PLG within a constant interval of time Td, and also a counter 18 counts a period of 1 pulse of the PLG. When the computer has received an interruption pulse INF, outputs MA, MB of the counters 17, 18 are inputted and operated. Subsequently, an obtained speed detection value is stored in a storage device. According to such constitution, the number of output pulses of the pulse generator 5 is measured within a prescribed time by the counters 17, 18, therefore, a time lag for detection is reduced, and also image resolution and accuracy are elevated.
