Stabilizer for vehicle seat

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To keep the posture of a seated person constant, by fitting the seat with piston units which communicate with a fluid valve unit, so that the seat can be swung. CONSTITUTION:A pair of piston units 2A, 2B are provided at the bottom of a seat 3. The pistons 4A, 4B of the piston units 2A, 2B support the seat 3 so that it can be pushed up. The cylinders 5A, 5B of the piston units are secured on the floor 1 of a vehicle. The piston units 2A, 2B are connected to a valve unit 7 through air ducts 6A, 6B. The pressure supply chamber 10 of the valve unit 7 communicates with a working fluid source 8. Check valves 12A, 12B are provided between the prssure supply chamber 10 and pressure discharge chambers 11A, 11B for sending out the working fluid to the piston units 2A, 2B.The pressure discharge chambers 11A, 11B are provided with discharge holes 13A, 13B for the fluid flowing back from the cylinders 5A, 5B. The check valves 12A, 12B may be interlocked with the steering shaft of the vehicle so that the check valves be opened or closed in connection with the rotation of the steering shaft.
