Abstract PURPOSE: An antifouling agent easily emulsifiable in an aq. medium and giving a latex with improved stability, which is obtd. by mixing a specified fluorine- contg. urethane compd. with a specified fluorine-contg. addition compd. CONSTITUTION: An antifouling agent contg. as effective components a urethane compd. of formulaI[wherein R f 1 is 4W14C polyfluoroalkyl; X 1 is -R 1 -, -COM (R 1 )-T 1 - or -SO 2 M(R 1 )-T 1 -, where -R 1 - is alkylene, R 1 is H or lower alkyl and T 1 is a bivalent org. group; A 1 and A 2 are each -O-, -S- or -NR 2 , where R 2 is H or lower alkyl; Y 1 is a bivalent org. group; Z 1 is a monovalent hydrophobic org. group]and an additon compd. of formula II (wherein Q 1 is -A-Z, Q 2 is -Y-NHCO-A-Z, where Z is -X 1 -R f 1 or Z 1 ; Y is Y 1 ; A is A 1 or A 2 ; Q 1 and/or Q 2 is a 4W16C polyfluoroalkyl).
