Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve dielectric characteristics of a plasma-polymerized styrene membrane, by a method wherein the plasma-polymerized styrene membrane is prepd. and then subjected to an electrical discharge treatment in hydrogen gas. CONSTITUTION: A plsma-polymerized styrene membrane, which has a large dielectric dissipation factor and whose dielectric dissipation factor becomes still larger when heated in air, is prepd. and subjected to an electrical discharge treatment in hydrogen gas in order to decrease the dielectric dissipation factor and so as not to increase the dielectric dissipation factor even when heated in air.
